New report on AI and journalism

In the report AI and journalism, the authors Elena Raviola (director of BDL) Martin Holmberg and Jonathan Falck (Media and Democracy) present the discussions on how AI affects everyday journalism, that took place at the seminar AI ​​and journalism in October 2019.

Photo by Sherwin ChuaOn October 22, 2019, a seminar and workshop on AI and journalism were organized by HDK, JMG and Media & Democracy, with funding from AI Competence Sweden. The participants were mainly researchers and managers within media and the purpose was to share experiences and together look into future scenarios around AI and journalism.

The report raises a number of issues and dilemmas that both academia and journalists need to consider in relation to AI and journalism, not least regarding possible consequences for democracy.
