Apply to Master Class Series in AI and Design

Students and staff at the faculty are welcome to apply for a Master Class Series in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Design. Apply by sending your CV and a motivation letter by March 2nd.

The research centre Business and Design Lab (BDL) organize a master class series investigating the intersection between Artificial Intelligence and Design. It will be organized into four master classes, during evening time the 17, and 24 March and 15 and 28 April at HDK-Valand in Gothenburg.

The series aims to propose, experiment and reflect on AI tools used within design work. Working across different projects and with experienced designers and programmers, the participants will learn to demystify technology and to get practically active with exploring data. The series is an introductory journey for designers and programmers to work together.

The series is especially aimed at designers and programmers (students at all levels are welcome) who may have some skills but have not experienced the collaboration between creative fields and programming. The level is introductory and will be adjusted to the participants. The language will be English.

The series is not part of any free standing course or programme and doesn’t entitle to academic credits, but the participants might get a certificate of attendance at the end of the course.

Apply by March 2nd

Apply by sending your CV and a motivation letter (max 1 page), by March 2nd, by email to Samantha Hookway, lecturer at HDK-Valand.

The number of participants is limited to 20 people and the applications will be evaluated on the basis of the participants' expertise and project ideas with the aim to gather a diversified mix of competences in the room.

You will be notified of acceptance by March 7, 2020 by email.
